The Story Behind kleoverse

A father’s experience with a broken hiring process became a mission to rethink how professional identity works.

The origin

“In 2024, I watched my 20-year-old daughter apply for job after job and hear nothing back. She wasn’t unqualified. She was invisible.”
Jan Valkonen
Founder & CEO, kleoverse

“The technology has changed. The reason I’m building this hasn’t.”

From ForteAI to kleoverse

A recruitment idea that became a question about identity.

Jan Valkonen started by challenging resume-first hiring. The deeper he went, the clearer it became that a person’s professional life is scattered across many systems, and every new platform asks them to rebuild it.

2021

The original kleoverse

A Web3 Proof-of-Talent product for professional reputation, portfolios and work in decentralized communities.

2022

ForteAI

Jan founded ForteAI to challenge resume-first hiring and began building Adaptive Profiles. The kleoverse technology history continued through ForteAI to 2025.

2026

kleoverse, rebuilt

Following a 2026 ownership change, Jan began rebuilding kleoverse as a user-controlled professional identity for people, companies and AI agents.
