Quantstamp is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team who will specialize in digital asset tracking, accounting, and analysis. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and be responsible for the accounting and reporting of all digital asset activities within the organization. The Senior Accountant (Digital Assets) should be able to properly classify crypto activities across various blockchains and various activities such as DeFi, staking, swaps, and other types of transactions via crypto sub-ledger software.
Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Account and reconcile cryptocurrency transactions, wallets, exchanges, and De-Fi protocols for financial and tax reporting
- Verify digital asset balances to blockchain data and/or centralized exchange statements
- Perform monthly crypto close tasks in Bitwave (accounting sub-ledger software)
- Prepare crypto journal entries and digestible reconciliation schedules monthly
- Evaluate workflow processes and procedures to develop, recommend, and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting
- Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Need to haves
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education
- 3-5 years accounting/relevant work experience
- Understanding of crypto technology and accounting principles
- Able to produce work independently and also work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work under pressure
Nice to haves
- CPA certification preferred, but not required
- Big 4 Auditing experience is a plus
